The California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) is intended to provide information that can be used to monitor student progress and ensure that all students leave high school ready for college and career.
CAASPP includes computer adaptive tests in English–language arts and mathematics for grades 3-8 and 11. All 7th and 8th grade students will complete the computer-based assessments during the weeks of May 9th – May 20th. A special schedule will be sent home with students before these dates.
To learn about the types of questions on the computer-based test, you and your child can view the practice test online at the California Department of Education (CDE) Smarter Balanced Practice Test Web page (click here). We strongly recommend that your student make every effort to be on time, prepared and avoid missing any of the testing sessions.
