Science Fair 2015

Congratulations to all the students who participated in this year's IUSD Science Fair at Irvine High School. Some of them will continue on to compete in the OC Science and Engineering Fair as well. Go sharks!

Residency Verification for 2015-16

The Irvine Unified School District will once again require residency verification for all IUSD students enrolling for the 2015-16 school year. This process is an annual legal requirement in California, and it helps our district ensure that all available resources are spent efficiently and effectively to the benefit of Irvine families. Moreover, these additional steps will help provide a full and precise accounting of our student population as we review staffing for the coming year.

By completing the following forms, you will be making a formal declaration that your child lives within IUSD’s attendance boundaries.

Completed residency forms need to be returned as soon as possible, along with proof of identification for one parent and two proofs of residency. A list of acceptable documents is included on the Residency Verification Form.

We Day 2015

On Wednesday, February 25, members of South Lake's ASB (along with Ms. Berger and Mrs. Adoff) flew to San Jose to participate in the We Day conference, an educational and empowerment event that brings young people together with world leaders and entertainers to celebrate their ability to create change and to inspire another year of action.

The students plan on sharing how they were inspired and how they can contribute to the South Lake community.

Teacher of Promise 2014-15

Congratulations to Mr. Graham, the IUSD middle school Teacher of Promise for 2014-15! The criteria for this award include a professional curiosity and enthusiasm for teaching, evidence of a range of instructional strategies used effectively, and a contribution to the school community. Mr. Graham is pictured above after having been notified of the award by Mr. Baron, IUSD administration, and fellow math teachers.
